I take a lot of pride in my front ensemble arranging, from writing parts that fit the ability level of each individual student to making sure the music supports and compliments the winds. Tapes from adjudicators consistently praise my percussion ensemble approach to the composition, as well as blend with the winds, and colors written into the ensemble.

I'm always happy to come to a rehearsal after the season has started to make sure everything is working, and to see if any adjustments need to be made. I put education first with both my writing and teaching, and want to make sure the music is both manageable and appropriately challenging for each student.

My amazing husband, who is also the assistant band director/percussion director at Ft. Zumwalt West High School, is the battery expert in our household. I write the front ensemble book first with a skeleton of what I'd like to hear in the battery, and Neil fills out the rest. Together, we have completed full percussion arrangements for Ft. Zumwalt West High School (O'Fallon, MO), Windsor High School (Imperial, MO), and Oakville High School (St. Louis, MO).
